Just 14 hours after the splashdown of the Grace spacecraft, we received back the instruments of the RANDAM experiment from the experts of SpaceX and Axiom Space in Los Angeles. Our instruments have been continuously operating since June 8, monitoring the environment of the Axiom-4 mission and the radiation exposure of the astronauts.
After over 20 days and 12 million kilometers of space travel, all our equipment is functioning flawlessly, and thanks to our energy efficient technologies, the batteries are still above 43% charge after 40 days of continuous operation! We will soon begin processing the data, which supports 7 of the HUNOR experiments – including physiological, medical, biological, and materials science research.
On behalf of the 27G-Technology team, we congratulate our partners – NASA, SpaceX, Axiom Space, HUNOR, ESA, and ISRO – for this successful mission, and we wish the astronauts a quick recovery!
